Artists Truman DiBartolo, Viola Michael Morales, Violin Arif Rahaman, Violin Anders Reyes, Cello Vijay Sosiah, Cello Artist Statement Our song 21 guns raises awareness by telling people about all the human cruelty and what's worth fighting and dying for. We wish that as a result of hearing this song people will protest to change gun laws in America so that people don't get there hands on firearms so easily. For example what happened in Orland, Florida. An ISIS advocate shot up a club and killed 50 people just because of their choice to love someone of there own gender. This proves our point of how people get there hands on gun easily. The steps we took were that we first practiced individually on the first verse of our song 21 Guns. After that we all tried to play the song together. Then we got feedback from Mr. Shieh.
| Lyrics By Green Day Do you know what's worth fighting for? When it's not worth dying for? Does it take your breath away And you feel yourself suffocating? Does the pain weigh out the pride? And you look for a place to hide? Did someone break your heart inside? You're in ruins Chorus One, 21 guns Lay down your arms, give up the fight One, 21 guns Throw up your arms into the sky, you and I Verse 2 When you're at the end of the road And you lost all sense of control And your thoughts have taken their toll When your mind breaks the spirit of your soul Your faith walks on broken glass And the hangover doesn't pass Nothing's ever built to last You're in ruins [CHORUS] Bridge Did you try to live on your own When you burned down the house and home? Did you stand too close to the fire Like a liar looking for forgiveness from a stone? |
