Students are preparing for their first recording of this expedition to take place on January 25.  Students will record De Blues, both the Tune and Solo 1, with attention to correct notes, steady beat, and articulation.

Any students who have not yet completed writing in the note names for Solo 1 must do so by January 21 to earn credit.  Over the weekend, students should air-play the songs for their recording and write in any notes that will help them when they play.

In class Friday, we will continue working on playing De Blues with fluency and speed.  Students will be handed out a music sheet with all the parts of De Blues, and must write the note names to the lines of "Solo 1" by Tuesday.  In addition to the music to "De Blues", students should have their fingerboard maps and blues notes with them each day of the expedition.  Blank fingerboard maps are attached below, if you have lost yours.
